Designed 10th anniversary communications strategy to highlight ABC’s role as a leader for the evolving workforce. Participated in re-branding of the ABC, represented the ABC at annual 100 Best Companies Congress and publicized community initiatives in key demographic regions across the U.S.

Englishtown.com, a Cambridge, MA-based global Internet start-up company specializing in English language instruction. Directed activities of global public relations agencies, created news content, wrote marketing materials, arranged European media interviews.

Everything Channel, providing innovative field sales & marketing solutions to arm the sellers of technology with the resources they need to achieve measurable and significant results. Served as freelance copywriter, interviewing resellers and their customers and crafting stories into advertorials.

Fairmarket, Inc., a Boston-based Internet startup selling semi-conductors and computer components auction style to IS organizations. Managed pre-IPO company launch, securing feature press coverage in the Boston Business Journal (Executive Profile), Electronic Buyers’ News Online, InformationWeek Online, InfoWorld, Internet Week, Mass High Tech, Network World and Newsbytes News Network.

Kronos, the global leader in workforce management solutions that enable organizations to control labor costs, minimize compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity. Promoted new products, initiatives and best practices by developing corporate press materials; performed competitive research to inform international press strategy and awards program.

Long Beach Brewing Company, a Norwood, MA-based liquor company. Launched its new low carb, low calorie Thin Ice malt beverage, securing prominent coverage in national publications including USA Today and local broadcast outlets, including WCVB-TV’s Chronicle, as well as multiple beverage and marketing publications. Managed web development, sponsorship activities and ongoing publicity efforts.

Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling, a division of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Created and executed strategic public relations campaign to highlight new ‘lifeline’ public service campaign. Interviewed gamblers, created case studies and pitched story to local and regional media, positioning the hotline as a solution to a growing problem in Massachusetts. Secured half-hour call-in segment on WBZ-AM’s David Brudnoy/Paul Sullivan Show, as well as local print coverage.

PreVision Marketing, a customer relationship management technology firm. Launched its Campaign Optimizer, an extension of its existing marketing intelligence software suite. Managed analyst relations, set up media interviews, coordinated interviews and press booth for 2001 NCDM show, securing coverage in DM News, Target Marketing, DMA Insider and analyst meetings with Aberdeen Group, Gartner/Dataquest, Forrester, IDC, META and Yankee Group.

Pilot Software, Inc., a company of The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. Wrote all press materials and created widespread visibility for its decision support products in targeted trade publications including CommunicationsWeek, Computerworld, InformationWeek, Info World and PC Week. Also wrote and promoted Pilot’s customer success stories in key trades and verticals publications, such as Info World, DATAMATION, Purchasing Magazine and Direct Magazine.

Plugged In Teen Band Program, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping teens start rock bands while infusing them with social consciousness. Promote bi-annual benefit concerts in support of the various causes, including Walter McCarty’s I Love Music Foundation and the Tobacco Free Mass Coalition. Also served as advisor to co-founders on sponsorship activities.

Target Marketing & Communications (now Alloy Marketing and Communications), a Boston, MA-based marketing agency. Served as project-based public relations consultant, supplementing visibility to marketing campaigns for national brands including Glen Ellen Wines, Hasbro and Jose Cuervo.

Target Sport Adventures, an adventure travel company. Promoted 2002 Olympic Winter Games program, boosting sales amid September 11 disaster through placements in USA Today, Washington Post, Salt Lake Tribune, Boston Business Journal, Ski Magazine, Outside Magazine and multiple travel trade publications.

The Executive Committee (TEC), a San Diego, CA-based provider of problem-solving peer forums for CEOs. Conducted Boston-area business media campaign to generate awareness for Company. Created and implemented tailored pitches for the local print and broadcast media, resulting broad-based coverage in targeted business press.

The Labouré Center, a Catholic Charities organization providing health education and social services to 8,000 children, families and elders who live in South Boston and surrounding communities. Publicized Tenth Annual Christmas House Tour and wrote the accompanying tour guide book, both on a pro-bono basis. Ongoing volunteer mentor to at-risk South Boston teen.

Waterville Valley, a NH ski resort. Created press kit for premiere mountain resort for its 2003-2004 season.
